Guests look a telescope during Astronomy Day

Join MiSci for Astronomy at the Beach at Island Lake State Recreation Area on September 29 and 30, 6 p.m. – midnight. This event is Southeast Michigan’s biggest public astronomy event and has introduced tens of thousands to the world of science and astronomy through evening demonstrations, telescope observing, and exciting talks.

Astronomy at the Beach is brought to you by the Great Lakes Association of Astronomy Clubs (GLAAC), Michigan DNR, Michigan Science Center, Cranbrook Institute of Science, UM-Dearborn Observatory, Eastern Michigan & Wayne State University Planetariums, and other organizations.
