Anything with a good melody
Tell us something unusual about yourself - something that makes you special, unique and not a "typical" STEMinista:
Growing up my favorite subject was (and still is) chemistry. I remember that I would take some cleaning products and baking powder/soda then mix them together to see if they react. I also like history, especially before the medieval period. It is very interesting to learn how different societies used the technology of the day to improve their ways of life.
Where are you from? Where were you born and/or raised?
What are you doing/plan to do with your STEM degree?
After I graduate, I would like to use the engineering skills that I am learning now and tie them into business.
Who is your hero or favorite role model? And why?
The late singer Aaliyah is someone that I have always admired since I was very small. She taught me that if I have a passion for something, then I must enjoy every aspect of that dream. Most importantly, she taught me how to make an impact and make genuine connections with others through passion and hard work.

Finish this sentence: I believe _____
I believe that life can be as big or as small as you make it.
Who was the best teacher you ever had and why?
The best teacher I've ever had is my mom. She taught me that it is important to have a dream and that I must be aggressive and ambitious when it comes to opportunities. My mom was the one who first introduced me to STEM by teaching me how to use a computer and software. She always encourages me to continue with engineering and tells me that I can achieve anything. She is that one person I can always count on for wisdom and to always remind me of my purpose.
