Join us for the one-of-a-kind Concert of Colors festival, where creativity and innovation collide! We’re excited to announce that the Michigan Science Center will be offering free general admission as part of the festival on July 18-19.
Concert of Colors—southeast Michigan’s most beloved live music festival—returns to Midtown Detroit and beyond—and it’s free for all ages! The festival also features dance, arts, food, film, discussion, and kids’ activities from around the world.

Activities and science demonstrations include:
· IMAX® Dome Theatre – Colors of the World Laser Show – 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m.
· Planetarium Shows – 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m.
· Science Stage Shows – Mi-Sci educators feature colorful science demonstrations and hands-on activities – 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m.
· Toyota 4D Engineering Theater – A 7-minute film on Martha Reeves starting every 20 minutes throughout the day.
· Above & Beyond exhibition on innovations in aerospace in the Science Hall
· Arts and Scraps – a program providing reused materials and educational resources to promote sustainability and creativity in Detroit
· 60-minute dance lessons – African dance on Thursday; Latin dance on Friday
