Our March Volunteer of the Month, LaKisha Shields, has been volunteering at the Michigan Science Center since 2014, and can most often be found helping our administrative team with various projects.
My name is LaKisha L. Shields and I have been a volunteer at the Michigan Science Center for over four years. I’ve volunteered at numerous events over the years and also assist in the administration area. I decided to become a volunteer because I love meeting new people, learning new things and sharing my knowledge! I am always amazed at all of the many things that you can learn on a daily basis when you expose yourself to new things and diverse individuals. I am passionate about science, in particular the human body. My favorite exhibit at the Michigan Science Center is the giant Human Heart!
