Located in the heart of Midtown Detroit’s Cultural Center, the Michigan Science Center is available for large scale events (up to 2,000 guests) and intimate after-hours gatherings. We also offer special rates with private areas at the museum during our public hours.
Whether it’s mid-winter, spring, or summer break, we keep students engaged in STEM learning. Our themed camps put students in the lab to solve scientific questions while enjoying our five theaters, live shows and exhibits. All camps are taught by qualified staff, including many certified teachers!
The Michigan Science Center offers a full array of scouting programs and adventures. Earn badges, plan an overnight, and pair your scouting trip with the science of play in our latest exhibits!
Join us for a monthly play date in Kids Town just for children ages 2 – 5 and their caregivers. The Young Explorers program is held the first Wednesday of the month from 10 – 11 A.M. with stories, science-themed activities and socialization time.
