World Space Party

April 12th, 2019 from 6 – 10 p.m.

Yuri’s Night, or World Space Party, is a global celebration of humanity’s past, present and future in space. It commemorates Yuri Gagarin becoming the first human to venture into space on April 12, 1961, and encourages us to celebrate where we’ve been and dream about where we’re going in space exploration. Join us at MiSci for an evening of hands-on space activities including:

  • Telescope viewing (weather permitting) as part of the MSU Science Festival – Statewide Astronomy Night
  • Planetarium shows!
  • Hands-on space activities courtesy of The National Informal STEM Education Network (NISE Net). Explore the ways our universe is expanding, build your own electroscope to detect static electricity, perform experiments with erosion, and more.
  • Cash bar!

Appropriate for all ages and general admission is free.

Pay for one day, stay all year!

Thank you for your membership purchase.
