Tell us something unusual about yourself - something that makes you special, unique and not a "typical" STEMinista:
I was a teacher for seven years in elementary and middle school before changing careers and entering the news business.
Where are you from? Where were you born and/or raised?
What are you doing/plan to do with your STEM degree?
I plan to continue growing my "passion project" where I help teach parents, educators and students how to avoid the inherent risks of the internet by using safe habits and common sense.
Who is your hero or favorite role model? And why?
My favorite role model is Oprah Winfrey. In my opinion, Oprah was able to use her platform to promote change and affect lives. I feel she also proves that women don't have to be boxed in to one field. Ms. Winfrey has had several meaningful career roles in her life and it looks like she isn't slowing down anytime soon. I commend her for the adversity she faced and has overcome.

What's the one thing you want to accomplish before the year 2025?
By 2025 I plan to have a published book on the topic of "managing tech use."
I find / always found school to be _____(easy/difficult/fun, etc.) because _____
School was easy academic-wise, but socially I always felt out of place and was at times a victim of bullying.
