I joined Lawrence Technological University as an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry , Department of Natural Sciences in 2021. I teach upper level biochemistry lecture and lab courses. I received my PhD in Biochemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, India where my work was focused on the role of restraint stress on chemically induced carcinogenesis in rats. I joined the Department of Oncology at Wayne State University (WSU) for postdoctoral research and worked on targeting pathways involved in difficult to treat malignancies, particularly pancreatic cancer and Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. During my second year of postdoc, I received NIH-ReBuild Postdoctoral Training Fellowship. During the fellowship, I continued my research work at Wayne State University and taught different chemistry courses at University of Detroit Mercy. After my Fellowship ended in 2019, I joined UDM as a full time instructor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and taught upper level organic chemistry lecture and lab courses, Course Based Undergraduate Experiences (CURE), and other chemistry courses till I joined Lawrence Technological University as a full time faculty in the fall of 2021.
