Meghan Dailey

Machine Learning Specialist

Meghan Dailey works as a machine learning specialist for IT Services at the University of Michigan. She graduated in 2014 from Santa Clara University with a bachelors in computer engineering, and she completed her masters in 2015 at the University of Michigan in robotics engineering, with a focus on artificial intelligence. Mrs. Dailey worked for four years in the defense industry writing software for artificial intelligence programs to support training for the Navy and the Air Force. In 2020, she began a role at the University of Michigan on the scientific computing and research consulting group. She works with student and professional teams to help incorporate machine learning into projects. She also leads training and education programs on machine learning, as well as contributes to research in natural language processing and computer vision.

Tell us about a hobby or activity you enjoy outside your STEM career.

I have played the violin for over 20 years and enjoy playing with the Dexter Community Orchestra!
