During this workshop on July 14, 1 – 4 p.m., STEMinistas will explore the world of genetics as they construct models of DNA, seek to understand how the genetic instructions in a DNA sequence specify visible, and invisible, traits, and extract DNA from strawberries. This workshop is brought to you by Motor City S.T.E.A.M.
Motor City S.T.E.A.M. is the brainchild of three Detroit-based, graduate-level educated women who came together to fill the void in effectively engaging minority and underrepresented students in science and art education.
